Indigo Waves Live + Eurovision Buzz
American band Indigo Waves blends '80s-inspired new wave with the sounds of 2010s indie rock and post-punk. Or, in their own words, they’re «a lo-fi psychedelic post-punk surf rock dream pop duo». That description fits their second album «Mirror» to a T – which they brought along on their first-ever European tour this April and May. On May 1st, they hit the stage at the Atlantis right here in Basel and had the whole place dancing. We caught up with Austin Oestreich and Matthew Mink of Indigo Waves right after their set – listen to the interview here. You can buy the duo's albums on Bandcamp.
The Eurovision Song Contest is just around the corner, and there’s so much going on – even beyond the big show itself! You can swing by the Eurovision Village and the EuroClub & Café at the Messe for live music and parties, stroll down Eurovision Street in Steinenvorstadt, or catch performances at Eurovision Square on Barfüsserplatz. There’s also the colourful Eurovision Boulevard stretching from the SBB station all the way to the Badischer Bahnhof, and if you're up for a huge crowd and big-screen action, don’t miss Arena Plus at St. Jakob-Park. You'll find all the information and venues listed here.
